1. Gateway To Independence (Gate): The Gate is a day center whose mission is to help young adults with disabilities achieve independence by providing social activities and pre-vocational training.​

The Katie Beckett Waiver: A program for children under the age of 18 with significant disabilities or complex medical needs. This program is for children who are not Medicaid eligible because of their parent’s income or assets. This program will provide services and/or help paying for medical care that private insurance does not cover. Click Here to learn more.

Family Support Program: The program is funded by state dollars and designed to assist individuals with severe disabilities and their families to remain together in their homes and communities. Services can include but are not limited to: Respite care, day care services, home modifications, equipment, supplies, personal assistance, transportation, homemaker services, housing costs, health-related needs, nursing and counseling. ​Tennessee Early Intervention Services: (TEIS) is a voluntary program that offers therapy and other services to families of infants and young children with developmental delays or disabilities. Services are provided at no cost to families. Click Here to learn more.

Special Olympics: The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-style sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Click Here to learn more

2. Best Buddies - The Maryville College chapter of Best Buddies is a group of dedicated volunteers, where Maryville College students are paired to form one-on-one friendships with individuals who have intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), bridging the gap between people with and without disabilities.
